Meet Our Founder and Lead Therapist

Welcome to Peakland Therapy! I’m Jeanette Groombridge, the founder and Lead Therapist here. I’ve been working in the mental health field for over 20 years, starting as a Mental Health Nurse and now as a CBT therapist. I’m passionate about helping people overcome mental health challenges and supporting them in improving their overall wellbeing.

Life can be challenging, difficult, stressful and overwhelming at times and this can affect how we feel emotionally and our ability to cope. Negative thinking patterns and unhelpful behaviours can trap people in vicious cycles that are hard to break, leaving them feeling stuck. This sense of stuckness can take a toll on people's quality of life, affecting relationships, work, home, family, social activities, hobbies, and health. Feeling emotionally stuck can hinder personal growth and overall wellbeing.

At Peakland Therapy, we’re committed to offering high-quality, accessible Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. We’re passionate about helping people develop long lasting, effective coping skills for common mental health challenges like anxiety and depression.

Our bite sized pick and mix sessions provide easily accessible short courses to help you build effective coping skills to improve and maintain your wellbeing.  All courses are provided on a one to one basis therefore the coping skills you develop are personalised and tailored to meet your own individual needs..

 

Courses offered include: Understanding and Managing Worry, Understanding and Managing Anxiety.
