About Peakland Therapy
Meet Our Founder and Lead Therapist
Welcome to Peakland Therapy! I’m Jeanette Groombridge, the founder and Lead Therapist here. I’ve been working in the mental health field for over 20 years, starting as a Mental Health Nurse and now as a CBT therapist. I’m passionate about helping people overcome mental health challenges and supporting them in improving their overall wellbeing.

Life can be challenging, difficult, stressful and overwhelming at times and this can affect how we feel emotionally and our ability to cope. Negative thinking patterns and unhelpful behaviours can trap people in vicious cycles that are hard to break, leaving them feeling stuck. This sense of stuckness can take a toll on people's quality of life, affecting relationships, work, home, family, social activities, hobbies, and health. Feeling emotionally stuck can hinder personal growth and overall wellbeing.

At Peakland Therapy, we’re committed to offering high-quality, accessible Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. We’re passionate about helping people develop long lasting, effective coping skills for common mental health challenges like anxiety and depression.
We offer online and telephone sessions to make therapy easy and comfortable. Feel free to reach out anytime to begin your journey toward emotional wellbeing.

Experience
Professional Journey
With years of experience in the field of mental health, I have had the privilege of working with a wide range of people facing various mental health challenges. Having over 20 years of clinical experience within the mental health field I have supported children, young people, families and adults with their mental wellbeing in various settings.
Coming from a background in Mental Health Nursing my approach to therapy is warm, compassionate and empathetic. If you are struggling with your mental health and wellbeing I offer you a safe, confidential, non-judgemental space for you to talk through your difficulties.
My approach is person centred, recovery focussed and tailored to meet the unique needs of each individual, ensuring a personalised and effective therapy experience.
I qualified as a Registered Mental Health Nurse in 2004 and trained as a Cognitive Behavioural Therapist in 2022. I obtained my CBT accreditation with the BABCP in 2023.
